Other Ways to Save Money on AMC Tickets
For moviegoers like you and me, watching movies at the theater regularly can get expensive real fast. How much do movie tickets cost nowadays? Around $12 to $16 for standard tickets and $17 to $25 for premium tickets. So if you watch a movie once a week, you’d be spending between $50 to $100 on tickets alone. That doesn’t even include food and drinks.
So how else can you save?
First things first – you should regularly check the AMC website for any on-going or upcoming deals. Just go to this page to get the latest updates.
Another way is to watch movies in the morning or afternoon. Matinee shows have cheaper tickets compared to evening showtimes. At AMC, you can get up to 25% off your movie ticket if you pick a show that starts anytime before 4PM.
Also, consider becoming an AMC Stubs A-List member. Not only does it let you watch up to 3 movies per week, you also get 10% back on concession purchases and waived fees when buying tickets online. The membership costs $20 per month in most states, but in some states like California the membership rate is around $24. But just think about it – you get 3 movie passes per week and this already include premium formats like IMAX, Dolby Cinema and 3D.

False Food Advertising
The AMC 16 in Schererville, IN rarely has the food that they advertise! I went last weekend and there was no cheddar popcorn and no pizza. There were only a handful of vehicles in the parking lot for a Saturday afternoon. Whoever is in charge of ordering needs replaced!

Our closest AMC is less than 30 minutes away and is basically full service. On date night you can literally now stop here and only here. Their food menu is great, their snacks are great, service is great and the movie experience is also great. Full recliners with heated seats…. so much has changed. Now you can also get AMC popcorn at Walmart. AMC is above and beyond any other movie chain. “To the moon fellow apes!”

I came to watch Dune 2 at the AMC…
I came to watch Dune 2 at the AMC Theater in a Northbrook, IL and had the loudest audio ever! So loud we couldn’t hear the voices and distracted us from the movie itself. I asked an employee to lower the volume who acknowledged the loud sound and told me he was going to talk to the manager but nothing changed . This is unhealthy and a hazard.

Facility always clean and well maintained, reasonable pricing at concession stand, and overall experience is ALWAYS enjoyable. Requires a slightly further drive than other theater, but is worth it.
